Contest Announcement:
FORUM CONTEST – FUN *NOT* FAME
Since many of our new FAs are trying out Navcis for an autonavigational
software, we have received two copies of Navcis Pro from Navics. Rather than
letting them gather dust, let's have a small forum competition to give them
away. Best two images produced under the following criteria win the copy of
Navcis Pro. Judge will be a forum regular who has NOT entered.
"Create a JPEG using Autodesk products and/or IPAS routines of the word 3D
STUDIO, 3DS, MAX, or ANIMATOR as elaborate and spectacular as you wish but
under 100,000 bytes. Size is to be 640x 480. Due 11/15. Upload to the New Files
Library in the ASHOWCASE Forum. The two winning images will be copied to the
AMMEDIA Forum".
This is for fun only and the intent is to show off your work, not to obtain a
new product logo. You retain the rights to your image.
I'm going to break my own rule about not posting the same message in more than
one section but this will be in Animator also.

Does the image have to be entirely created in 3ds or Max or can we fix the
image with an image processor like Photoshop? Or use photo filters?

After a bit of discussion amongst the FAs we decided that the images should be
created using just Autodesk Products and IPAS routines. Makes a bit more level
playing field.
