#demo on floppies???

Hi all,
I don't use 3DStudio, but I'm trying to get my company to purchase it. I
am the engineer at a custom wood fixture company, and we do alot of custom
stuff. I do probably 10 to 20 Solid models in AutoCAD 12 dos a week. I'd like
to move on to the next level of rendering and animation. The kind of thing
where our fixtures come together in the center of the screen.
My question is, is it possible to make a demo approximately 1 minute
long, that would fit on a floppy to send to our customers. It would also have
to have a built in player. I realize that normal video is 30 fps, and each
frame would be around 50k to 150k in size, so it could get very large. I wasn't
sure if there was a good built in file compression tool or not. Does anybody do
this sort of thing?

I did some work for a company that was in bed with a company called TMM
TMM had a remarkable compression system based on fractals. I had 1.5 minuets
of really nice video(320×200) , with sound! taking up only 4 megs. Don't know
what became of the outfit or what there doing but it sure seemed remarkable to
me.
There in Hollywood somwhere.

There's a program called Smacker that, at a low rez, MIGHT be able to fit 1 min
@ 12FPS on one floppy, particularly if you're just using a solid-color
background (fewer changing pixels). It has its own player that comes with it.
