I tried to associate this extension with cdk viewer but this extension is
already assigned to the W95 paint program.
Do I have to remove the old association?

you are refering to here. what are you attempting to do, what is the problem,
what program and version of the program are you using, and under what OS?

The CDK Viewer is an example application from the CDK that views realtime
rendered DXF and 3DS files. It was released in a compiled form with little
fanfair and is available at http://www.bluerock.com/cdkwv. The compiled
version of the viewer is not supported by Autodesk.

Grant,
thanks for explaining this. i'm not very familiar with CDK (although i'm
thinking of taking a very serious look at it here shortly as i was very
impressed by Brian Blau's demonstration of it at the recent Multimedia
developers conference in San Francisco). besides, we gots to give Ted Boardman
SOMETHING to do in the Cyberspace section every once in a while. <ducking Ted's
tomatoes> <ggg>

The CDK Viewer isn't supported on this forum, but I can answer your question.
You will have to change the association if you wish to view 3D AutoCAD DXF
files inside the viewer, if you don't, then there is no need.
