#Paint can model
8 messages in this thread
I am looking for a highly detailed paint bucket model. Can anyone give me some
directions ?
Thanks,
Danny.
Danny,
Why don't you just model one yourself? A paint can would be _very_ easy. Or is
there something more you're not telling?

Well, you were right ! I modeled it and it was_not_too_hard. The thing is it
has to be real, just as it was filmed on video. I'm trying with the POV-Ray
Raytracer to achieve this.

Good maps are the key to realism, IMHO. Scanning an actual label, along with
separate opacity, bump and shinniness maps for scratches, dents, etc. will make
all the difference.
PMJI: but before (or after) you use POV you should take a look at RayMan. It
has some options that makes more realistic images than POV…
We`re making some realistic scenes (bootle runs between people to the beach,
bottle between the knees of a woman (not erotic<g>), bottle standing on a
table, talking to an actor and much other things) in this days and RayMan makes
the best possible image quality.
