do you know how to uncompress a .000 file or what program it take's?
I have no Idea and need any help I can get! Thank's also for the file's you
gave me last time I was here It helped alot ! Looking forward to hering from

I believe that .000 files are from your WINCIM file cabinet right? After a
download? Rename it to what you expected to find as a file – hopefully you kept
track of what you were downloading. So if you expected to see a .TXT, rename
it to that and it should work.

.000 can be appended to downloaded files when using several software packages.
I've had it happen in GoCIS as well. I usually do as you said, rename the file
to have the proper extension. Often the file is a .zip file,
txt or a .gif.

Yes that's correct. WinCIM creates these under certain circumstances. .000
are placeholder files for CIS files marked for download. If you mark a file
and then don't download it, the .000 temp file will stick around, but be a null
file.
I usually don't have any trouble with this when downloading from forums, but
when I receive e-mail files sometimes WinCim doesn't rename them after the
download. Simple renaming solves the problem.

Every time I have had a .000 file it has been from a d/l that didn't complete.
You have to delete them just like you said.
I seem to get a lot of NONAME.00? files when people send me images via e-mail.
The files are always complete and readable. It's as if the sender didn't give
the file a destination name, so WinCIM just creates its own.
I haven't had that happen for quite a while though.
