I need for a AMIGA 4000/40 a frammegrabber card. I need for my software a very fast card (Z3 if possible) I have a Macrosystem VLAB but this card is very slow. explain: librarie version =VLAB.library V8.2 (10 may 1994). image size = 720 x 310. when i give the function VLab_Scan() and i have the return of this function the time elapsed is: 0,2 sec in gray & 0,6sec in color (YUV). I need for work a card for grab a 310 x 310 color fullframe in 1/25 sec (in pal). My amiga Workstation have: – AMIGA 4000/40 8Mo Fast – Z3 Fastlane with 16Mo – VLAB card. – Amax IV – EGS Spectrum in Z3. All response are Welcomme. thanks.

Hello, for digitizing 25 pictures per second, you need a framegrabber with realtime JPEG compression (for example the VLab Motion card). With this card you can save a motion picture realtime to your harddisk. The problem is the price of this cards (about 1800 DM), and that you need a very fast and big harddisk to store more than a few seconds. Hope this helps you , Carsten

Hello, Yes i have been seeing this card in action but the problem is the file. In Mpeg the movie is coded in one file the 3 or 4 first frames is normal pictures, and the rest of the movie is delta image of this firsts frames… For my development i need a very fast card to transfer in 1/25 sec a global image at full video (broadcast). for using in my software. I have never see the PAR, have you seeing this card ??? Last News : For IMAGINA i have a interactiv system based on AMIGA, if you go in february at this image's forum in Monaco go to visit our place. if you don't see what is IMAGINA tell me!!! V FILALI

That's not how MPEG works. Every few frames are normal pictures. The frames between are special frames.
