#Compiler info?
4 messages in this thread
Hi. Could someone please tell me what the newest version of the SASC C
compiler is and if they still make their compiler for the Amiga?
I also need to know if a new version is due in the near future, and can the
same compiler make programs using custom screens and windows for my A3000 as
well as the new AGA Amiga's? I imagine functions, etc, are included in the
package for both?
Please accept my thanks now. Henry

The last version from SAS is 6.50. I believe they still sell it but they have
no plans for releasing newer versions.

No new versions are due in the future but you never know, now that Escom is
behind us. Is it?. Yes you can use the compiler to develop for AGA and non AGA
boxes.

I have version 6.55 c/c++ by SAS, it is still available, but will not be
revised unless `they change their minds'.
As for the graphical/custome stuff, they have the header files included in the
package. You will still want to try and find a set of Rom Kernal Manuals to
help you with it though. <- really a must.

hain has already answered, but I'd like to add: if you get the final 6.5
version, you should download from library 5 here: SC655.LHA .. which will
update it to version 6.55 (bug fixes and small improvements).
