I have finally gotten VMM3.2 working. Not many problems so far.
Question: Is there a list of preferences available for most software so that we
don't have to keep rebooting everytime we fiddle with the preferences.

Flying on Autopilot 1.80
I have VMM3.2 up and running and have only had problems with older
software(pre-2.1) and some old shareware like that on some of the older Fish
Disks. If you do have a program that hangs using virtual memory you can
generally set the preferences so that the program code does not use Virtual
Memory, I haven't had a problem with any data using VMM, just the program code.
Distant Suns, an astronomy program, doesn't like using VMM but, generally,
newer stuff has no problem at all. It really is a nice thing to have, God bless
the man who wrote it, he deserves a big thanks. Wish I new more but this is
pretty new to all of us.

I cannot get VMM to work at all on my 3000. The machine freezes as soon as I
hit the USE button on the GUI. 25Mhz w/68882, 10Megs
I have tried stopping any nonstandard programs, but that doesn't seem to help.
Enforcer seems to work ok, and I use FASTROM all the time, so I THINK the MMU
is ok. I am kind of stumped, and don't know what to try next.
Can anybody help

Did you install using the installer?
Do you have MUI (proper rev – see VMM doc)?
Did you accept the default page size chosen for you by the installer?
Did you try changing the FASTROM setting in the MIscellaneous options?

I Got It Working! A case of not RTFM'ing closely enough.
I had to disable the CPU FASTROM specification I had in my startup-sequence.
After that, it worked like a champ.

Try running the pagesize program _before_ installing VMM to make sure you _and_
the installer want a certain page size. It _should_ be 4. If you choose the
wrong page size, GURU! Or if you don't have MUI, etc.
A read thru the docs told me I had screwed up by not taking the page size
offered. _That_ was a fun experience, NOT!

I'm running pretty smoothly now, thanks. I'll let it simmer for a few weeks and
if it proves it self, send in the registration. Like you said, the programmer
deserves a big thanks.
