James, your entry works, thanks. I work with CrossDOS a night and i found a entry that works every time. The Letter before the points of the Devicename must be a MS-DOS Name Like C: or D: … CrossDOS read the first Cylinder to get the information of the Drive. And, it works very fast in all directions. here my mountlist entry: PHC: Device= gvpscsi.device FileSystem= L:CrossDOSFileSystem Unit= 5 Flags= 0 BufMemType= 0 Mask= 0xFFFFFFFE MaxTransfer= 0x00FFFFFF Mount = 1 DosType= 0x4D534800 LowCyl= 0 HighCyl= 3071 StackSize= 4000 GlobVec= -1 Buffers= 30 Surfaces= 2 BlocksPerTrack= 32 Priority= 5 Reserved= 0 Interleave= 0 # Andrew Koch Dissen, GER

Andrew, glad to hear it did work. I have saved your mountlist entry too. Maybe next time I get some zip disks, I can give it a try. Jim
