#Need MultiFaceII help

Roy…
Many thanks for the reply. I again looked at the software I have with
the MFII and it is dated 1991 so it is obviously very old. I'll try contacting
the company through the e-mail address you provided and if that doesn't work
I'll try the snail mail.
I have installed the board and software with no problems but nothing seems to
be redirected to the two new parallel ports. I want to put my Deskjet on one
of the MFII's parallel ports, ParNet on the other and use the original
parallel port for my Fargo printer. Any suggestions will be appreciated. The
dip switch is turned on (#7 only).
Thanks again.

Until you get the upgraded software you will have problems with parnet on the
MFCII. The upgrade uses some "new" devices using similar code to ParNet.Device.
The MFCIII only has one parallel port so I use it for Parnet and the normal
Amiga port for my printers. Go to the Libraries here and look for a "V42
Printer Subsystem" called "V42PRT.LHA". I have a Canon BJC-600e and a Epson
FX-80 connected thru an Aa-Bb crossover switch. Once you get the new software
you should be able to use the "V42" to send your output to any port on the
system.
I would DMS it and upload it but it is copyrighted. (I think). Though I don't
see how it would hurt. You can't use the software if you don't have the MFC.
Just reread your post. Are you getting the Amiga to recognize the board now?
