Has anyone gotten DJMOUNT FFS to work with AmigaDOS 3.1, a 386
bridgeboard, Novell DOS 7, a Maxtor 71626AP (1.62 GB IDE harddrive), Amiga
2000HD (G-Force 030), and AmigaJanus 2.1?
I got my new drive (the primary drive on the BB is also a Maxtor (7345AT))
setup and partitioned (I think) with both DOS and Amiga partitions. I didn't
put a primary partition on the second harddrive for the bridgeboard. Anyway, I
think I got FDISK and ADISK to partition the drive. However, I can't get the
Amiga to mount the JHx: partitions with DJMOUNT FFS.
FWIW, the Amiga side has Quantum SCSI drives and a Zip drive.

Hmmmn, that's a very specific question–I doubt if anyone has that specific
combination.
It's been a while since I dealt with a Janus drive. How big did you make the
Amiga partition? Also, there might be a problem with Novell DOS 7. Plenty of
people have used it with Bridgeboards, but maybe not with Janus drives. Let me
think about it…I'm VERY busy this week, and can't research anything. I'll
squeeze your question into the next CROSSINGS and see if it gets any bites.

Here is some of the information from SYSINFO off Norton Utilities for DOS
Version 8. I think I got ADISK to partition the drive with Amiga partitions,
but DJMOUNT FFS can't find them:

Let's see. First, check ADISK. It will be quite clear if there is an Amiga
partition assigned. (You have to leave the space for it when you use FDISK.)
When I did this years ago, you had to create a MOUNTLIST entry, and the
cylinder counts were different. Sorry, I don't have time to look it all up
right now.

The MOUNTLIST must be the key. Whenever you or someone gets a 'round
tuit,' I guess I'll try it–the MOUNTLIST, not the 'tuit!' 😉
