I have a picture that was done on a Toaster and saved as a Framestore. Can this be used (after changing to an IBM disk) by any programs on IBM. Is there a conversion that I can do to get it into a format that IBMs can use. George

George, <I have a picture that was done on a Toaster and saved as a Framestore. Can this be used (after changing to an IBM disk) by any programs on IBM. Is there a conversion that I can do to get it into a format that IBMs can use.> I think you'll need to convert it first. ImageFX or AdPro ought to be able to do the conversion. Asha; >>I think you'll need to convert it first. ImageFX or AdPro ought to be able to do the conversion << Thanks for the info, I don't have either of those programs so I guess I am out of luck. I'll have to see if the people that did the picture for me are still in business, and see if they have either of these programs. I haven't seen any adverts from them lately so maybe they've given up on us.:( George

George, Not really sure. the only IBM progs that can probably read it are Adobe Photo Shop, or I'll check my copy of Paint Shop Pro (shareware available for download). If the Toaster machine that grabbed it has Amiga Dos 2.0 or higher it can read a Double density IBM disk. If it's equipped with a HiDensity drive, I'l read it anyway. If no one else can help. Rick, Thanks for the help. I think the ibm machine has Photo Shop, but the guy running it wasn't too sure about wether or not it could read Framestore. The problem with most IBM people is that as soon as you mention something other than IBM, especially Amiga, they tend to glaze over and go into convulsions:) I think I will have to find a book about Photo Shop and see if it mentions anything about FrameStore. That's cause they are stupid and bought "compatibles" which are not compatible with any other clone (joke) I trnasfer files all the time from my Amiga to the clone.

John, As far as I know PhotoShop won't recognize Toaster Framestore format images, but it will read/write Amiga IFF24 if you got the plug-in. Theres also some new s/w available for the Amiga that can handle PS file formats. That may be the way to go. ….John
