PreVue Technologies announce another addition to their product line of Video
Toaster accessories. Named the Sync Trap, it adds an auxiliary BNC through
which a house reference signal can be supplied to the Toaster without tying up
Input 1. With the Sync Trap, all four Toaster inputs can be used for active
video signals without any concern for the Toaster's sync reference signal.
The Sync Trap input BNC is mounted on a separate connector plate that is
installed immediately adjacent to the Toaster 4000 in an Amiga 4000. This
makes good use of an otherwise blocked expansion slot. For A2000s, the BNC
connector plate mounts in any expansion slot. The Sync Trap is available for
only the Toaster 4000, not the original Video Toaster.

No, not with the Sync Trap. PreVue Technologies does offer another product,
the Toast Timer, that will allow full control of H and SC phasing. A product
for two years now, the Toast Timer has a very wide adjustment range to
accomodate all system needs, including the need to time for the Y/C+ decoder
board.

Does synch trap have a board, or something other than a back plate, connector
and wire that may take up a slot or other external connector?
And is there an announce MSPR?

There is no board associated with the Sync Trap; only a plate and connector are
located at the slot. Since the Toaster 4000 essentially blocks one slot, the
Sync Trap can fit in adjacent to the Toaster in an Amiga 4000.

Thanks for the info. BTW, you may have said already and I forgot or missed it,
but can this be used with the Y/C+ from Smith AV in conjunction with
Toaster/Flyer?
