I'm using Animator FLC files with Macromedia Authorware 3.0. Authorware
supports a transparent mode where background areas of the FLC show the
Authorware background. I can use the FLCs on the Animator CD in this way but
if I load FLCs off the CD and save them using Animator, the background is no
longer transparent in Authorware. Also, the resulting file size is "slightly"
different then the CD version. I've tried all the settings in Animator I can
think of. Help…

this is a known problem… AAS saves out the register values as 2,2,2 rather
than 0,0,0 for "0 register value." i assume you're talking Animator Studio here
and not Animator Pro. if you would like, send us a single frame and we can
verify that this is the problem and can look to potential workarounds.
