#AStudio v1.1
7 messages in this thread
Hi all
I recently installed the Animator Studio update under Win95 and when I try to
execute it, I get the message 'you application is making an invalid dynamic
link call to a .DLL file <close>' or something similar. Incidentally, this
message also appears when I try to open the soundcard mixer in the 'multimedia'
folder' Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

curious… did you install Win95 from scratch or do a fresh complete install
without a previous Windows flavor overwritten?

Both options sound like the same to me <g> No, I installed over a Win 3.11 and
everything has worked fine since.

Make sure you're installing AAStudio 1.1. This message sounds like something
you might get installing AAStudio 1.0 onto Win95. If you have the old one,
call 800/538-6401 for an update.
Hi
I have already installed v1.1 but I cannot run it because it gives me that
message under Win95 about the invalid call to a DLL file. It also says that I
have Video for Windows v1.1e.

"the invalid call to a DLL file"
Derek: QA would like the exact error message, and when it comes up. Is it
possible for you to let me know? Sorry it's taking so long to resolve this.
Version 1.1 should be working fine for your under Win95, since we've got scores
of folks who are running it properly without your problem.
Hi
the message is
PROGRAM ERROR
Your program is making an invalid dynamic link
call to an invalid .DLL file.
I can only close the window. This error comes up for all the modules except
Sound Lab. I am also getting this error when I try to run MPLAYER.EXE from my
windows directory.
It seems as if I may have an old multimedia related .DLL file lurking in my
system. Problem is, how can I identify it? I have a SoundBlaster 16 card in
this machine.
