Brandon,
Congratulations on your article in 3D Design, very nice writing. Are you
becoming a writer in stead of an animator now<BG>. I have a friend that an
architect, I'm sure he will be interested in reading the article.
How did the article for the Alabama Bar Assoociation go. Have you had any luck
getting the article published with them?

Thanks. But thank Kelly Dove for editing it to make it sound more personable.
My original version sounded like some scientific or legal prose that would fit
better in the back pages of some stuffy old medical journal or something<g>.
Although a couple of my points did get a little muddled there in the editing
process. And also, they left one of my images completely out, and tried to
combine the captions. The floor plan shot and the rendering were supposed to
be combined with a 3dStudio screen shot to tell a little "story" parallel with
a point I was making in the article. Without the 3DStudio shot, it sort of
made little or no sense. Oh well, at least I got my name in a magazine<bg>.

I really hate to admit this, but I still haven't finished it. I have been so
swamped. In addition to CAD and 3D animation, we have now become the local
Internet Service Provider. Which has come to mean one horrid and unexpected
thing, the dreaded "CUSTOMER SUPPORT"!!! aaaggghh! <b-tired-g>.
I am still working on it though. If enough of you guys remind me of it, maybe
I'll feel guilty and finish it<g>. Seriously, though, I plan on putting the
finishing touches on it in the next couple weeks.
How's the Animator's list coming? My work on the animation case list has sadly
fallen behind. I am thinking of using my web page (oh by the way, I have a web
page at http://www.airnet.net/~bartlett) to let people fill out a interactive
questionaire for the list. What do you think? It might even work for your
Animator's list. I could set it up so that when animators fill out the form,
the info is automatically e-mailed to you. Just a thought.

It is stalled at 22 companies for the last few months. BTW, do we need to get
your name on the list, aren't you a forensic animator?

I think thats a ___great idea___, alot of forensic animators would most likely
have access to it there.

It sounds good to me, but again you are the one thats having to do the
work<arg>. At least until the names start coming my way<g>.

Brandon was a joy to work with. I'm bummed to hear that we really should have
included that other image of Brandon's. He should have his foot down and we'd
have found a way to get it back in. Those pesky things happen, we've just got
to find a way to work around it.
Oh, and Rick, if you're looking for writers for the Alabama Bar Assoc., hey I'd
be interested in writing something for you. I did a piece for CADENCE a couple
of years ago about forensic animation, which totally fascinated me. I'd love to
write something up if you need it (and I can squeeze it into my busy schedule).
Let me know.
Oh, and one more thing. Keep me updated on the forensic animator list. We're
putting together our 3D Design Web site and I'd be willing to post your
list/information sheet on our website as well.

I have no connection with the Alabama Bar Assoc., are we confused. If I did
write something it would be for the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Assoc. I never
thought about hiring someone to write for me. What would something like that
cost? Email me if you like.

I've gotten a couple of phone calls from people who saw the list in "3D
Design", they wanted to know more about getting into forensic animations.

Rick,
You may want to include the name of Adnan Edwards, the forensic animator who
wrote the forensic article in the premiere issue of 3D Design. He's been
involved in more than 75 court cases and appears to really know his stuff. I
also know some other animators like Alec Jason and Jack Suchocki of Eyewitness
Animation in Florida that are ace forensic animators. I'll get their numbers
for you and see if they'd like to be included on the list.

then I would need the complete info on them, including Areas Worked In and
Additional Info.

Well, sort of and sort of not. I have wanted to do some forensic work, even
talked about a few cases with a couple attorneys, but so far no real jobs have
come in. Oh well…. So I don't know whether to include myself in the list,
since I haven't actually had a paying forensic project. I think its the local
market, because half the attorneys I talk to seem totally amazed by the fact
that we can plot big drawings and pictures on a plotter from one of those
computer thingys<b-redneck-g>.

Its what ever you feel comfortable with, I didn't require any proof from the
