Can anybody help? I'm running AP 1.80 (registered version) on an A1200 with 4mb fastram, magic menu/MUI, overdrive hard drive. When I originate mail, like I am doing now, if I try to use any of the pull down menus, the machine freezes up for about 5 seconds making any pull down option un-useable. Where am I going wrong? Any assistance would be helpful. Also I notice many users have a "signature" at the end of any of there messages, how do they do this? Am I sending this message to just you Betty? I'm trying to send it for the whole forum. Am I doing it right? If not, how do I put the forum in my address book? Thanks Peter Hill (English Lakes) Peter Hill flying Tornado on AutoPilot over English Lakes

Magic menu is your problem, it causes the 5 to 7 second "freeze" on the pull down menus. I don't know of any solution other than shutting down magic menu while using AP. Gary Cooper ( the LIVE one ) From Albuquerque, New Mexico

Hi Peter, Try out OBTAIN.LHA which can be found in AMIGAVEND (Section AutoPilot of course <g>) Unpack it and follow the instructions of NewObtainGIRPort.doc, which can be found in there. Perhaps it works. Good luck. 😉 Ernst >=====on AutoPilot_1.80 [what else?] for AMIGA—–> from Europe/Austria/Vienna

I guess no one has bothered to read the README file contained in the AP.LHA archive. The solution to the problem is (caused by Magic Menu) is given along with the program required to solve the problem. -Steve Ahlstrom

To send something to the whole forum, use 'Originate' or 'Write' and type ALL for the name, leaving the ID blank. I wonder if magic menu is causing your problems. Look in AmigaVendor, the AP library. I think there is a fix there that lets the two work together properly. Peter, I've had my signature so long I don't even remember how to fix one – but I looked around and found it for you. Click on the forum name. Under the list of sections, find the Signature button. Click on it and fill in the blanks. That works for each individual forum. —Betty

Betty, There's also the "Generic Forum Tag" under the "Misc" menu. Steve Brightman Daring to be different – Amiga on the Internet – Lotus on the Interstate
