As a result of a series of Amiga4000 upgrades (for customers) over the past few years I've ended up with a dozen IDE hard drives sitting on the shelf. If anyone is interested 120MB ide drives are available for $90 each, 210MB IDE drives for $180 each. Nick Rahal – Infotronics Inc. One of Newteks Top Ten

No offense, but that's awfully high priced for such small drives. Nowdays IDE drives are going for around 25 cents a Meg. -Steve Ahlstrom

<<that's awfully high priced for such small drives.>> In The current issue (page 24) of Amazing Amiga, Software Hut is asking $139 for the same drive that I am offering for $90. You pay less per Megabyte when you buy larger drives but 25 cents a meg??. Thanks for your help. Nick Rahal – Infotronics Inc. One of Newteks Top Ten

NIck, First of all, I haven't seen any (new) IDE drives for sale smaller than 540M in over a year. Over at my local Best Buy store (not the cheapest around, Circuit City and Incredible Universe beat them on price, but they're a couple of miles from my house) they've got 540Ms for under $200 (in the $170-$190 range) and 1G+ starting at $229 — for a 1G drive that's pretty close to 25 cents a meg. Seagate recently had a sale on their SCSI 4G harddrives for $999 … I've got one of those in my machine at work.
