Check your Shape closely (use Shape/Check), Morpheus. And use .AI 'cause DXF export is pretty useless. You'll probably find some overlapping problems you can fix… -Alan PS -What's your real name?

Morpheus: The problem that you have is that the shapes are not closed, because the starting point is the same as the ending point, but these are two different vertices at the same coordinates. If you CLOSE the polygon, these two overlapping vertices are connected with a line at a length of zero, but are still two overlapping vertices, what explains the error message. There are two ways to MERGE the vertices into one, to get a correct shape: 1) Select all vertices and then perform a VERTEX/WELD this way can take a lot of time, but works automatically 2) Use a quite large snap then choose POLYGON/MOVE and click the shape 3 times without moving it. 3DS will ask you if you want to connect the vertices so answer YES, and your polygon is closed. Hope that helps. Murat

Stick with .AI export from Corel, Christie. DXF is just not usable. Bring your .AI files in with a minimun line weight, no fill, and when it's in do a select all and then do a modify/vertex/weld/selected to close those "open" polygons. -Alan

Morpheus: Alan is right about AI/DXF, you don't get curves with DXF. <<sorry for my poor english…. i don`t speak english very well…>> If you prefer german, you can e-mail me, 'cause I'm in Germany. Or maybe turkish, but I don't expect you speaking turkish, or do you??? Murat
