#Musician Magazine

The December issue of Musician Magazine features an article on my work with
computers and music. Haven't seen it yet, but the photos should show my A3000.
A little mainstream press for our favorite machine! Best, Nick Didkovsky

Nick,

I read the article. Way cool! I've used Deluxe Music to compose some really
twisted stuff by attempting to write riffs that I hear in my head and by sort
of throwing notes on the staff. I haven't gotten around to rehearsing to it
yet, but I use Music-X to rehearse to in much the same way.
Nice shot of the A3000.

Thanks for responding and for checking out the article (and for confirming that
the Amiga is indeed visible in the photo!) You're right – Deluxe Music is a
pretty fabulous tool for composing twisted stuff. If only it could go to
version 2.1 to fix a few little bugs… Take care, Nick PS If you ever want to
expand DMusic2's functionality check out RiffGrabber (you play live MIDI and it
notates and exports to DMusic) and Deluxe MIDI Converter (exports format 1 MIDI
files).
Congratulations, Nick! Thanks for letting us know. I'm sure that everyone who
has access to the magazine will be looking for your article.

And thank-you for maintaining the forum where we can share this kind of info.
Best, Nick

RiffGrabber…It works Great!!! Keep it comming Rick!
John & Rick….AKA RAJH
Hi John – thanks for the cheer (but why are you called me 'R'ick?). Anyway,
good to hear you're still pushing the tools to their limits. Best, Nick
Sorry Nick, I was thinking about the sign off (John & Rick)……….
…….I guess <g>
BTW..any progress on the DMusic to MOD idea?
John
There's no chance I'll be doing the DMusic to MOD code anywhere in the near
future. Best idea is to look for a good MIDI -> MOD converter, and feed the
MIDI files created by Deluxe MIDI COnverter to this tool. I tested one, but it
didn't change instruments properly. Otherwise was pretty hip. Best, Nick
Nick, I know you used the software you wrote, but what utility did you use for
MIDI > MOD?
