#Amiga Computing
17 messages in this thread
I received the latest Amiga Computing/US Edition today, so those of you
wondering if there would ever be another the answer is YES! 🙂 IMHO it's a
much better mag than Amiga World, it just takes so darned long to arrive on
these shores.

I have yet to receive my first copy of Amiga Computing that was to replace my
Amiga World subscription. I only received 1 magazine from my orig sub. Does
anyone have an address for this magazine? Has everyone received their
replacements? I know several of those in AMICON (Amiga Central Ohio Network, a
user group) had already received theirs. Thanks

Greg,
Got the number or address for Amiga Computing? I really need a good
source for Amigaknowledge (besides CIS, of course).

Give it time I got my second issue today.
I got my issue (#4–note that they don't put dates on it…! go figure..)
today.
Cover is the Draco, reviews of Gloom, Virtual Karting, and more.

Greg,

The only address I've got is:esp@acomp.emon.co.uk. I have gotten two issues of
Amiga computing, and so far I'm less than impressed. Of course, since the
issues I've gotten are really old by the time I get them, that might be the
reason. But if this is the way they treat their U.S. customers, I can't see
anyway that I'd subsribe to this magazine.

Sory no street address.
Joe,

Tried that one, with no joy…sigh… I've got a street address from someone
else and another email address from still a third party. Hopefully I'll get
some response from somewhere. If not, I certainaly won't subscribe nor will I
advise others to either.

I saw it after I posted. I posted the phone number for Amiga Action a us
publication.

Gregory,
Thanks for the additional address. I did just ge another issue of
AmigaComputing today (says Issue 4, no date). It looks to be a bit more recent
than the other ones I've gotten, and if it keeps coming every month like this,
I may re-think my stand on subscribing. I do like to support as much of the
Amiga community as I can find money to support…:)

Asha,
If you read the editorial, you'll see why no date, nor an Issue 3 – August
either.
I'm not sure when my present sub will end since they are skipping issues, but
like you I'm waiting for some regularity before I renew.
I guess I wasn't the only one who complained over the time lag and the fact we
could buy the same material months earlier in the Euro edition.

Got a great idea. Get as much subscriber/address/price info as you can for
each magazine, and put it into a text file, and upload it here. People would
love it.
And as an added bonus, in this issue you can even find a blurry picture of me
before I got my hair cut (10 days ago), blowing a fuse in the Karoke machine as
I belt out "Wild Thing."

Finally got my issue, and sure enough, there you are on page 31!
CUT? How short? Still got the beard? 🙂

Kept the beard. Hair is very short on the sides/back, and pretty short on top.
Got tired of taking care of it, didn't think I'd like it with SCUBA mask and
stuff, and always hate dealing with customs and immigration with it…

I was in shock when I saw you with "no hair" so to speak. Much better in my
opinion.
