#ASDG Ethernet Boards
8 messages in this thread
I am searching for a couple of Ethernet boards for our 3000 – 4000 setup, and I
have been offered two made by ASDG. Anybody knows if they have Sana-II drivers?
and if they are reliable ?
Thanx a lot!!

They work fine if you have the right jumper setting (and the SANA-II driver
that goes with it — ASDG made one for each interupt level).

OK, I think I will get them and see if they work. In case I have any problems,
I will ask more precisely.
Do you know if they have both coaxial and twisted pair connectors?

I don't really know more, since I don't have one of the cards, but I'm sure
someone could step in with the answer.
>coax/T
Thin only. (I at least had the EB920 manual when I wrote page 114 of my book.)

Thanx a lot anyway.

Okay, okay… I will buy your book to read that page 😉
(And all the rest, I am going to face some networking problems from now on 🙂

David,
I have 2 ASDG "EB920" Ethernet cards, and use them in A3000s (also connected to
PCs with Win3.11 and WinNT). They came with SANA-2 drivers and work fine with
AmiTCP (after some valuable help from Dale Larson 8^).
However, I recently tried one of them in an A4000 and it would not work at all
– just kept locking up the machine and wouldn't accept at "set address"
command. The person I bought them from had them in A2000s, so it would appear
that they are OK in the A2000 & 3000, but maybe not in the A4000, although I
can't think why not? May have just been that one machine, who knows?
If you decide to get one, and need any help configuring it, give me a call.

Dave,
Coax only on my cards.
