#Internet faster!!!

Hi Betty, I have a question to you! I use AmiTCP, Alynx, AMosaic, to enter Internet. But – If I`m going to a new side, it takes a loooong time!! From 1 Min. to 12 Min.!!!! I have an A1200 2MB RAM, 14.400/v42 Modem. How can I join Internet faster? Oliver Mayer ————:-*

Oliver, you have just moved out of my bailiwick! I did the Internet for several years, back when you had to get connected through some college or worksite (had an account through a university near me), and I spent a LOT of time there. I gave that up about three or four years ago, and just haven't wanted to get back on again. So, I don't know anything at all about getting the Amiga on the Internet right now, other than that IINST151.LHA is the program to get if you want a smooth installation. I'm sure that some of our Internet experts will help you, though. I count on them for that! —Betty

Oliver, <<If I`m going to a new side, it takes a loooong time!!>> Register the ppp.device, if you are using it. Reports say it speeds the works up 40-50%. Going from one site to another, I would say much more than that. The author has contributed alot of good Shareware to the Amiga so he is pretty easy to support. Jim

Oliver, There should be a registration file you can print out and send to Mr. Kruse, Look under iNTERiNSTALL:PPP/registration. If you can't find it I'll E-mail it to you. Well worth the $30. I had a disk in my mailbox within 2 weeks but I don't know exactly how he handles his overseas transactions (lives in Florida). Jim
