#IDEin2000

Anyone know a way to put a IDE controller in a 2000, so I can transfer my
graphics to a Removeable Harddrive? My 4000 is down , I really need all those
AlphaPaint and Lightwave graphics
Thanks, John
Yeh, Expansion Systems has an IDE Controller for about $110.
I have one with a SCSI Controller on it also. You can hook up to 2
IDE devices and up to 6 SCSI devices all from one controller card.
Plugs into a Zorro-II slot I believe. The only thing I don't like about it
is it doesn't have an external connector built onto card that comes
out the back of the 2000. I haven't had a need for an external device
so far, so it hasn't been a problem. But someday I'm sure I will have
to run a cable out the back to hook it up to an external peripherial.
Shouldn't be to much of problem though, i hope. 🙂
Later,
Robert
Thanks, sounds like something I could use right now. Need to pull off my
graphics on 2 IDE's. Where did you buy the board? I'm in the LA area. Of
course, I could do mail order.
