Try cleaning out the interior of you A2500 and re-seating all the
chips, boards and connectors. Yes, the blinking is significant, but
unfortunately I don't have the list of what they mean available.

Thanks for the quick response. I did just that today before firing up my
system. It is awfully crowded in there with the vxl 68040 w/ 2m 32bit ram,
Flicker free video, DKB megachip all under the drive bays. They are insulated
with some index card weight stock to avoid the potential shorting. But it still
flashes 6x, cycles about 3x then the "red box" appears with this: Error 8000
0004 Task 0020F0E0 . It then boots normally.
I too kept a copy of Denny Atkins' column but have moved and most of my
resource material is in storage. Perhaps Denny is lurking about and spots this
he could refresh us on the meanings of the flashing lights. Or is there a
document in the lib's on this ?

I had not "seen" him here in a while, was wondering if he kept his account here
active after moving west.
On GEnie he even has his own "section", an area where people can post questions
to him in an open forum. Seems like someone _always_ come up w/ an answer, 🙂
