#64K & DVI programs
9 messages in this thread
Dave,
Dunno if these are already in DL, but I have a couple of programs.
First is a pair of variable bank switch programs for the PCSG 64K RAM
expansion unit, should also work with 96K units.
Second is my modification of Joel Orr's MENUD program for the Disk/
Video Interface (DVI). This version offers complete control of the DVI by
redefining function keys for "bytes free" on either drive, full function on
BOTH drives, and KILL function for both program and text files.
I don't know Joel; don't know if something similiar is already
uploaded; I couldn't find anything which would run both drives.
If you'd like these, let me know; likewise if there's any kind of
problem/conflict.
Thanks, Cork.

Not familiar with D/VI stuff, but what you offer sound very much usable
to me. Note, however, that DVI support is in DL 5, not 4, so if you haven't
looked lately you might czech DVI.CAT out.
Be looking for them …

Hi Dave, but … <Cecil!!!!???>
My main concern is about Joel Orr's investment. Don't think he's here
anymore, on the other hand he shared his work, and my offering is an
embellishment. So, I don't see any problems, do you. Program to be uploaded
shall include attribution to him.
Thanks, catcha later.
p.s. just recoverng from a cold start…musta left something wrong
in/out of resetting keys in TERM. Sure was interesting. &&& Thank goodness &&&
for little &&& backups….&&&& …
Didn't know I could do Maurice Chevalier, didja? Didn't know till now I
couldn't spell his name.
Thanks, Cork.
Corkcil:
Joel is still around here though not as visible as he once was. You may
be able to catch him with a message here or on EasyPlex if desired.
We'll be looking for the programs …
SIGant bien …
a la cent mode ….
.^Dave^.
Dave, I left Joel Email.
At the moment trying to master XMODEM. You probably have a couple of
garbage files DL5 at the moment.
I may make it this time … never uploaded a program before. Bon
chance!
later, cork.
Dave, MENUDX.DVI may, hopefully, be in DL5 as MENUD5.DVI.
Thanks. Later, Cork.
p.s. think I got it right this time. Shall try to upload PCSG variable
switch programs in half hour or so.
Corky:
Yup, you got the uploading correctly, but you forgot the checksum.
My report is 185,291 …
.^Dave^.
Oops. Never having uploaded a program, assumed XMODEM added it.
I can try downloading to see if it runs without error.
FYI, just got sys Email feedback: Apparently Joel Orr no longer on
Compuserve. CIS unable to deliver msg.
Thanksabunch. — J. Fredd Cork
