Bob, I tried to leave a long message but a bum finger and filge combined to make it tuff. I have had AmigaBASIC from MS for a week now. My dealer gave it to me as an upgrade and said that all of us would get it at no cost. The hitch for me at this point is there are no docs yet and this baby is so powerful that they are needed badly. I live in SC which is not the center of te Silicon Universe so I can't figure why I would have this BASIC so soon. I wish my finger was ok so I could ramble on about how great it is. No line numbers needed. SUBs defined with local or global variables can be called by name. A music demo that also draws graphics in a window on WB while you open other windows and it doesn't miss a beat! Ported some PC-Basic prgs to it and they ran first time! Some later ones req'ed modifcations. If you want more leave me some yes no questions to save my finger. Doug *** There is a reply: 42100 Enter command, N for next message or <CR> for menu : n

Bob, I have since been told that it is a pre-release version that I have and not yet being distributed. I got it from my Tech Rep who has no answers to most of my questions. The main worry I have is that it still runs under the same buggy OS that MetaComco has given us. Doug *** There is a reply: 42280 Enter command, N for next message or <CR> for menu : n

That is *indeed* a worry, from what I hear. Non-release of 1.1 of AmigaDos is holding up release of a LOT of third-party software out here in Silicon Valley. -LDM- Enter command, N for next message or <CR> for menu : n
