Greg, How come you keep comming down on Bri for the dongle? He's stated several times that his backers insisted on some form of copy protection and this was the best he could do. I'm sure the consumers will vote by buying/not buying the product and that "vote" would do far more to influence future protection decisions than anything else. Don

Don, Strictly for the sake of the historical record: though Brian originally did make the statement that the dongle was being used at the instigation of his backer, he later defended it quite vigorously – in at least one message – from a perspective that was clearly his own. I assume the continuing attacks on the DesignText dongle stem from the undoubtedly vain hope that it might yet be dropped. Nick

Don, If you remember correctly, Bri first stated that his backers wanted some type of protection. The form was decided to be a dongle. After that message in the same thread, Bri got in a huff and said something to the effect "I will not have something I worked on be pirated!" The key word to note is 'I'. I keep bringing the issue up because if anyone can do something about it Brian can. GreG
