For Sale in Future
5 messages in this thread
If there is anyone here who would be interested in adding a c-128 to their
system, please go to the CBMCOM SIG. I have left a message there putting my
system up for sale in order to upgrade to an Amiga.

Im NOT sure whether you are willing to take a beating on your system BUT
I have seen ad's for a $99 Amiga w/a trade in of your 128/1571/1702
While I agree you could "probably" get better prices it may take time and
effort/expense.(IE returned cod's etc..) On the other hand theres nothing
wrong with a little clutter on the desktop(s) from your Vic 20/C64/C128/Amiga
systems et al!

I haven't seen ads like that. Could you tell me where you've seen them. The
only ads I've seen are for trade ups in the area of a $300 discount on an A1000
with the trade-in of a c-128. If I could trade my entire system and get an
Amiga for just $99, I would be overjoyed.
What would I get for that, and where is it???

I ran across it when attempting to find the cheapest route to go re: the amiga
500. MAYBE I should have stated that its for an Amiga 500 The problem I had was
it didnt accept the U.G. Software upgrade! (There are PLENTY of dealers who are
on the official Commodore list who wont accept/honour them!) I will look again
& get the pertinant info. Later Ill post it here for you. Ena
Len;
My husband pointed out that we looked thru some 25-30 magazines for mail order
companies & that it would be next to impossible to duplicate that volume of pages
Fortunately he reminded me that anything that even remotely looked promising we wrote down. SO while I downloaded the virus prg.
he dug out the book. Here are what my notes say:
Brand New Amiga 599 for $99 w/working 128 trade in. The name of the place is
Computer Repeats,Inc
Somewhere in Colorado
303-939-8144 Voice
303-939-8174 Modem
The C128 system requires a 1571 & a 1702 (the cheaper really c64 monitor) It doesn't state
whether you pay less for the AMiga if you have a 1902. They sell used equipt. as well
as new. Some used prices I have written down are $109 for the 64 $119 for the 1541
$172 for the 1571 Even $39 for a Vic-20

Also it doesn't say whats in the 500 (in my notes) Maybe you can find another
ad from them
