I'm looking for some info on the neww Amiga. Specificaly on compadability
with the 1000 and Video Digitizing.
Thank you for any help.

Fred,
The A500 is 100% compatible with software for the A1000 as long as that
software is properly written. Same goes for video digitization…althou some
of the hardware specificaly for the A1000 won't work on the A500, there either
are already equivalents or will be real soon now.
Don
Ron,
Is there a review of the 500 in the DL's? Which do you think would be the
best machine to buy for video. I'm refering to the GEN-LOCK options, so I can
SUPER graphics over video?

Fred,
Yes, there is a review of the Amiga 500 in DL 3 called AMIGA.002 which
gives a quick overview of the machine.
Since there is no gen-lock presently available (but soon will be) for
either the A500 or A2000…it's kind of hard to say which will be best since
only the A1000 can do what you want today. However, the GenLock available for
the A1000 isn't real broadcast quality although it can be processed after
genlock and the quality can be much improved.
I'm not a video expert, but we have many here in the Forum, and I'm
only paraphrasing what I've seen from them.
