Well I made it over here. I am still having the same problems. I left
a message to ALL in SN4, but haven't got a single reply as yet. I am using
Scribble to write my messages. My online editor is set to EDIT. The problem
seems to be that CIS does not recognize my send. On the "Send Screen" within
Online, I am gettin an error count that go up to about 10 and then aborts the
attempt. Are you familiar with the various parameters of ONLINE? Maybe I have
something set WRONG. I am really frustrated!!!

It sounds like you are trying to do a protocol upload (Xmodem or CIS-B
or otherwise) rather than a plain ASCII text send (OnLine!'s "buffer send").
Using a word processor isn't a good idea…they insert control
characters and also add top/bottom margin padding so the messages don't come
out very well. I'd suggest using a straight text editor rather than a word
processor.
Once you have the text (BTW, the program ED works just fine as a text
editor for uploads…and comes with the Amiga), then startup up OnLine!, select
Rt-Amiga 3 and get the file from the requester, then tell CIS you are leaving a
message (enter an L at the FUNCTION prompt or main menu), fill out the TO: and
SUBJECT by hand and when you get the message from the editor about entering
your message and /EXIT to quit) then select Rt-Amiga G and OnLine! will send
the message from it's buffer.

Thanks Don, just what I needed, consise easy to understand directions.
Is there anyway to do this other than through the buffer? I usually have my
buffer tied up in capturing my online session.

Not for an ASCII upload…it has to come from the buffer.
