I realize that I will probably get laughed right out of the forum for
this question, but how do I get the new (new to me) 1.2 disk(s).
I thought that they were free, and they should have been mailed to me.
Are they just on said, or what?

The sysop will probably get back to you on whether or not its a free
update but I've seen the disk in quite a few Dealers for approx $14 so my guess
is that it must be purchased. But what the heck do I know!

No, you're correct…for owners of the A1000, the upgrade to KS/WB 1.2
is $14.95 list price. For A500 and A2000 owners…they got it with the
machine.

The 1.2 upgrade was sold as a separate item for (I think) $14.95 list. It
consisted of 3 disks, Kick, WorkBench, and AmigaBasic/Extras, and is called the
AmigaDOS 'Enhancer Kit'. Well worth the cost, as it is a substantial
improvement over version 1.1. Also, much of the 'newer' software products will
require it.

Joe, it's not a dumb question – the upgrade is not free it is $14.95 and
available at most Amiga dealers – it's called the Enhancer, comes with 3 disks
(Kickstart, Workbench and Extras) and an addendum to the manuals for the new
things in 1.2 .
