#Diga! Kermit server

Hello everyone I just bought Diga! and like it very much, but I am having a
lot of trouble getting the Kermit Server to run right in remote mode. I useI
use
PDP 11 and VAX systems from work alot and thought that Diga! with Remote
kermit would be just the ticket for file transfers from work to home. Does
anyone have any information on the Kermit implementation used in Diga! If so
can you please upload it for me? If not does anyone know who at Aegis to talk
to? the manual that came with Diga! is very weak on the subject of Kermit.

Tech support is 213 392 9972. I don't have the details on Diga! kermit, but I
expect it's "plan kermit". The Diga! remote is Diga!'s own, not the UNIX
kermit remote stuff…
Aegis: Is diga! fixed yet? The original release needed some work, and we put it
on the shelf… time to re-buy yet? Specifically, during doubletalk, are file
transfers now reliable? Is the VT-100 emulation more "robust"? Ect? <grin>

I repeat. Diga! file transfers work without problems on Hayes comptable
modems.
Yep, we are working on an update with better VT100. If you have Diga! setting
the cursor to transparent, the number of lines to 24 will make VT100 work alot
better. Also the PF keys are on the numerical keypad (with control).

Uh, quick questiun; you're not saying that those transfers ALWAYS worked, are
you? Just that they work now? Because they sure didn't work before! –Ben–
Question about the Object editor Aegis is working on. I understand it will
sell for about $149. What happens to all of us who purchased VideoScape 3D
only to find out that it was unusable?….Or at least not usable by us mere
mortals? Are we left in the cold expected to shell out an additional $149??
Didn't VideoScape do ENOUGH dammage to the wallet? <sheesh>

The Columbia University Kermit is available for the Amy. It is the
only Kermit that I have seen run with all of the VAXEN and 11's that I use with
out fail. It is available through Aura (Raleigh, N.C.) and probably others
since it is not a commercial product. If you are interested and can not locate
a source let me know and I can get you the address (or copy it to a floppy).

The source for Aterm 7.3 in DL 10 also contains source code for Sliding
Windows Kermit, which Aterm supports.

Larry: That is another one of those things that I need to look at when I 'get a
round tuit.' Actually that is not quite true as I already have a 'round tuit'
from Kurz Instrument Company! Been working a lot of extra time (84+ hrs last
week) and don't have much time for anything else now. Hope to be on a more
reasonable schedule near the end of this year. 73, bill
