Fax software

Hi Ben,
Good to see you back on here. I guess the moving is going to take a little
more time! When you do get set up proper, be sure to post SoftCircuits new
address. (I am assuming it is moving with you)
The Fax program definitely does need a 1024×400 mode. There just isn't enough
resolution in the 512×400 mode. Don't forget the 380 line bug for phasing. I
think you should find a better way of doing the phasing, it does seem pretty
slow – maybe you can use the blitter, or heaven forbid, recode that portion in
machine language.
Yeah, I decided it was about time to get the wefax interface built. I kept
noticing the dust piling up on the sstv interface (grin) and I had all the
parts for the wefax interface, and a little bit of spare time on my hands and

Have to get around to phoning a yaesu dealer to order the serive manual for the
frg-9600… Can you give any more details on the ceramic resonator you used.
Just chomping at the bit to build another interface!
Would your interface (or should I say, the software for them) still work with
accellerators? Is all the timing done in hardware, or are there any software
timing loops? Can't afford one, but interested just the same.

The system uses the Amiga's hardware timers; so as long as teh system
clo9ck stays the same (and I think it must) there will be no problems.
There are no software timing loops.
Looks like the SSTV project will be released by another company, forming
now. The company will be Black Belt Systems, and will operate out of
montana.
The software is all but done at this point, and the hardware is being
manufactured. It won't be a "do it yourself" project – you'll get an
assembled and tested interface board, and the most recent software.
