After installing your ITC Souvenir on Compaq 286 for Ventura (LEC 890 PS
printer) I have a lot of .PSF fonts on the directory. the total disk space
required for that ONE font was about 800k! Can that be right? What of all
those files can be removed? If any? Needs to be an improvement in your
documentation for all that. Don't understand why I would need 8, 10, 12, 24
and 36 point fonts for a PostScript font! Something is wrong here because
at this rate I don't have room for any more fonts from Adobe or anybody
else. Thought PostScript was the way around that.
Hello again! OK, the amount of space that this font family took up sounds
reasonable. Depending if you are using the old or new version of our IBM PC
fonts, you can install only selected point sizes to conserve space (version
1) and regardless of which version you have you can pick only the faces you
want (demi, italic, etc.). Ventura does not use the AFM files, so you
really don't need those either.
