Watching VH-1 the other day, I saw two or three Amiga commercials within a
five-minute period. Frankly, they weren't very professional looking – if
they were trying to stress that the commercials were made only with an
Amiga, you'd think they'd say so, otherwise, they could have made them a
little slicker looking.
John, I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think those commercials do
justice to the Amiga. IMHO, they are so fast that the commercial is over
before you even know what the heck they are trying to sell, they are not
visually appealing, and the ugly blue screen before and after the
commercials I've seen that flash for a moment are ridiculous.
With all the praise these commercials have gotten here – I thought maybe I
was missing something!
Aren't those blue and white screens the pits? One other thing… They
don't *show* the Amiga in the ad, right? So someone could walk into a
computer store, describe the ad, and the shifty salesperson could steer
them to an Apple ][ GS! – John Foust
I was going to call that phone number out of curiosity – but it came and
went so fast I dunno what it was (and they played the commercial twice in 5
minutes.)
