Don,
Where'd you get all those Interfonts?
Karl
Karl,
I'll get you the name next week…it's at work.
I got a mailing as a "registered Interfont owner," so I assumed they sold
their mailing list.
Don
Thanks, Don.
I like using Interfonts, but have sometimes wished I had more of the
things.
Karl
Hi Ho:
Just butting in here I hope you weren't planing to E-Mail that
list. Because I would realy like a copy to. I have the Font Designer but I
have never gotten around to useing it, or even reading that part of the
manual.
Thanx
Brad Hayes
Brad,
I don't know if it's the same company that Don was talking about, but
AROCK Computer Software sent me something in May about 49 Interfonts for
$69 to registered Interfont owners, $99 otherwise. They included a sample
printout of them, and there is quite a variety. Their address is
P.O. Box 731
Springfield MO 65801
Karl
P.S. I don't own them; I had misplaced the offer until yesterday.
I wouldn't hurt to give them a call at (800) 288-AROK. I think the offer is
still on. In fact, in our next mailing from Syndesis, we'll be making the
same offer, at the same price. These are 49 of the fonts from the bitmap
ARock Masterpiece Fonts.
Karl,
That's the one!
Don
It's not really that hard to create Fonts with InterFont. Sometimes when I
want to use a new font, I just outline the letters I'm going to use and
leave the rest of them blank. It's a lot easier to just do the letters you
want to use. 🙂
Steve
Steve,
Yeah, I guess I should try making a few Interfonts before breaking out
the check book for the AROCK stuff. Lazy, ya know. Do yours turn out as
good as what the supplied ones do? I should go dig up the docs to see how
many steps there are.
Karl
> Do yours turn out as good as what the supplied ones do?
Yup! Sure do! <grin!> If you dig up the docs (I think it's mentioned on
the disk), you'll find that I'm the one that did a bunch of those fonts
that are supplied on the InterFont disk.
Steve
Show Off….
But Thank you. Brad Hayes
Well, he asked. <grin>
Steve
Steve,
<chuckle> You sly dog. You do indeed get around.
What, me read the docs?
Karl
Don,
I was cleaning up the computer room yesterday, and found a mailing from
AROCK Computer Software. They have converted 49 of their fonts to Interfont
format and were offering them for $69 to registered owners of Interfont
back in June. I wonder if the offer is still good. Are these the ones you
were thinking of? Do any of them have punctuation?
Karl
Karl,
Those are them! (bad English, huh?) Those that I have used have been
complete fonts, and I believe they included punctuation. Only problem I
have hit so far is that on some of them the did not put a full space on the
space bar, so you have to use several spaces.
