I'm still having troubles editing MOVIE script files produced by Imagine.
For example, after successfully completing the tutorial project, I tried to
edit the MOVIE script so that the animation will run from frame 1 to 30 and
then from 30 back to 1, etc. I found the script file as
FirstProject.imp/FirstSub.pix/anim/script and tried to edit it in TxEd. The
file is binary. Aside from the object, picture, anim, staging, and specs
files, there are no other files in my FirstProject.imp directory after
completing the tutorial project. What am I missing? BTW, I really like
playing with Imagine and it's great to have you here on CIS to straighten
out my misunderstandings.

Darron, the Movie file is named MOVIE and it's located in the anim
sub-directory. You were trying to edit the wrong file. –Rick

It looks to me like the "temporary" movie that it makes if you don't have a
movie file disappears after the movie is rendered.
And I have been putting the movies in the Pix drawer, next to but not in
the Anim drawer.
It's fun getting up to speed on this, but I can't wait for the finished
product!.

I must have screwed up the tutorial project somehow. I looked in the
anim directory and there was no MOVIE file. Is there something in
particular I must do to get Imagine to produce a MOVIE file? Thanks.

Darron, simply select the range of frames you wish to animate in the
sub-project screen and click on Make. The program will tell you that you
don't have a Movie file in the current directory and ask if you wish it to
create one. Respond yes and away it will go. –Rick

Nope, Nick. In fact, if you do so beginning next week, you should receive
version 1.0 which should begin shipping by Friday. –Rick
Not being an Imagine expert (YET) I haven't looked for a Movie file. But
evey time I make an animation a "No Movie file found" requester pops up and
asks if I want to creat a temperary file. Do you get this to??? I just
shoot through yes on the 3-4 requesters that follow. Like looping movie and
discard picture files. It is probably just one other thing they didn't have
time for right now.

Yes, I go through the same series of requesters you do. I'm by no
stretch of the imagination an Imagine "expert" either, but I'm working on
it!
