#Where's Manx???

Hi Everyone!
I am requesting information from you guys "in the know". I have been
trying to contact Manx inorder to get a copy of 2.0's includes for their
Aztec compiler (no, I'm not a developer, just a lowly A3000 owner <g>),
without success. Both their 203, and 800 number have been disconnected,
and the operator is unaware of any new number. They maintain a forum on
another service, but I notice that they have not shown a presence there for
the past few weeks!
Has Manx faded into the mists of Chapter 11, or simply moved without
telling everyone?! I hope that it is the latter, as I have money invested
in my copy of Aztec 5.0d and would rather save than be forced to switch to
SAS/C inorder to start programming for 2.0.
So… anyone know anything about this???

Humm…that doesn't sound good. I've also missed Manx's
represenative here (Mike Spille). He hasn't dropped in for about a month
now.

it.

I got my 5.0d update over another BBS service (which will remain
nameless <g>), which didn't include 2.0 includes. It was only when I
purchased my A3000 complete with a version of 2.0 that the include files
really mattered to me. By that time I found it impossible to find these
guys!!!
I assume that you used their old number at the time (201-542-2121).
BTW, nice to "talk" to you again. Unfortunately I've been very busy
lately and have been more of a "lurker" on CIS <g>.

I got my 5.0d update on disk last week. No problem, just call the update
department.

Thanks for the reply. There phone was out the day I repeatedly tried to
contact them. It's a shame that their representative (both here at on
other services hasn't been "seen" for more than a month…

Aztec, along with the rest of the world, is moving to BIX. For computer
related stuff I think it's a lot better. -BOB-
With any luck, the rest of the world will move OFF of BIX, which has got to
be one of the slowest, most fragmented, weakest (in the sense that it has
very few access ports) networks in existance today.
I spend as little time as possible on BIX; it's nothing but a way to put
$$$ in Byte's pocket (BIX sysop protestations to the contrary) at the
expense of the Amiga users/developers.
You're entitled to your opinion, of course – even if it's wrong. :^)

The only good idea BIX has is the flat rate account — now $99/year, not
including tymnet charges. One can get an unlimited off-peak account that
includes tymnet charges for $20/month. I wish CIS had a similar system!
But then again, I wish BIX worked half as well as CIS — which it doesn't.
Maybe it's a case of "you get what you pay for."

CIS is expensive. It's my one general gripe. My one specific gripe isn't
CIS's fault – it's that I have to call Denver to get in from Montana, due
to the telephone tariffs, this is the least expensive way to go. It runs
about 28$/hr.
As for BIX, well. Foo.

Oh, Bob!!! I just joined BIX, because I'd heard it was so great, but it is
so SLOW and so POKEY you can't get the information, even if it is there.
Also, Mike has not shown up there, either.

It is a 201 number, New Jersey not 203. I haven't checked their bulltin
board for a week or so but they hadn't replied to a bug report last time I

Sorry if I mistyped, it was their 201 number as well as their 800
number. If you ever get back on their BBS, try and find out if they've
moved or changed their voice phone number. It seems rather strange to me
that I haven't heard a whisper from any Manx representative in a month on
CIS or other similar services!
