Availability of 2320?

I've found the talk about the new 2320 FlickerFixer-type board very
iinteresting. However, I can't find a dealer anywhere who has even heard
of it, let alone has any in stock. Is this another of those limited
distribution deals where only certain parts of the country are given the
new product to sell? I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has this
product; please inform me where and how you obtained it. Thanks.

Sounds to me more like a case of uninformed dealers than anything else.
I have a 2320 Display enhancer (official terminology from CBM) and it's
really nice. The 2 things that I really like about it are that it can
handle NTSC & PAL (the FlickerFixer is available in either PAL *or* NTSC,
not both), and that there's a switch on it to disable it while still
allowing the standard video to pass thu the board. When I had my
flickerfixer I had to have a separate cable going to the 23pin connector to
use standard video output, and now I only need one cable. Also nice is the
fact that nothing else is needed to be able to use this board while using
an external genlock.

My dealers have had "data sheets" from Commodore for quite some time. At
least one dealer in town has had them in stock for a week now.
I've had mine for about a month now and I absolutely love it. A great
enhancement for your machine.

Out of curiosity, what monitor are you using now that you have the A2320?
I've heard that the combination of a Microway Flicker Fixer with a
Mitsubishi Diamondscan monitor works well (a combination that I had been
considering), but I've pretty much decided to get an A2320, and am now
thinking about which monitor would be appropriate. I'd imagine that
Commodore's A1950 works well with the A2320 also.

I haven't gotten a multisync yet; I was planning on getting it and the card
at the same time. I'm also leaning toward the Mitsubishi; I especially
like the presence of both TTL and analog ports. I'm definitely leaning
also toward the 2320. I hope they're well suited to each other.

Commodore's suggested list on the 2320 is $299. I've no idea what the
dealers will be actually asking.

Speaking of monitors, my boss plopped a Taxan Super Vision 770 on my desk
last week. I *think* it will work with the FF and the 2320, but I'm not
sure. (I don't have a manual, and I really haven't looked into what
monitor does what).
If anyone reading this thread has one of these monitors and is using it
with the FF (or the 2320), I'd appreciate hearing about it!

I'm using a Tatung CM-1495. I "believe" the A1950 is also manufactured by
Tatung. They have tremendous physical similarities. I recommend it highly.

I got mine thru CATS (direct from Commodore). My local dealer is The
MicroWorks (716)873-1856. I know they had several in stock last week. If
you call, tell them I sent you (pronounced Sigh-yuh). They know me pretty
well.
