Yep, I guess early releases of v2.0 did not have the serial # printed on
the disk. No problem, as Mark double checked the first database and you
are entered in that. We are transfering all that data to the new format
this weekend. So… consider yourself registered!

What is the current version of B.A.D.? I just optomized my needly
full 80 meg Quantum and it took over FOUR DAYS! I would've liked to use
B.A.D. but I have 3 meg of memory which isn't anywhere NEAR enough to do
the job.

Current version is 3.15, which follows a chain of minor bug fixes since 3.0
was released. Sometime this month all registered users will receive a
postcard detailing the newest version of B.A.D., which will be a _major_
upgrade. This version will implement virtual memory support for those
monster gigabyte drives, improved processing algorithms, and a much
improved and graphic interface. Not to mention a pre-scan phase that will
detect problems with the drive prior to processing. This is the first
_real_ upgrade to B.A.D., and thus the first notification to registered
users. Keep posted here for more information regarding this release.

That sounds great. Unless you had MUCHO memory or a small drive B.A.D. did
nothing for hard drives. I am glad to see that it will be updated.
