#Hide Points
10 messages in this thread
I've been unable to get "Hide Points" to work. Am I doing somY-Z7w wrong,
or is this a bug in the .9 release?
Steve
Steve, You have to first pick a mode such as "Pick Points." Then use Hide
Points to draw a rectangle around the points you don't want to deal with.
Don
I did that. Are you running the .int version or the .fp version of
Imagine? I still can't get it to work. I messed around for about 10
minutes before giving up.
Steve
Steve,
I am using the .fp version. Did you select your object (turn it blue)
first?
Don
Yup sure did. Must just be a bug in the .int version.
That is really kinda disturbing…I have a feeling there has been a lot
more testing with the .fp version than there was with the .int version.
(That's just a personal opinion though….I have no idea how they went
about beta testing it).
Steve
Steve, Hide Points works fine. First enter an Add or Pick Mode, then
select Hide Points. You'll be able to drag a box around the area you wish
to hide. You can select Hide Points as many times as necessary to see just
the area you desire to edit. –Rick
It doesn't work for the .int version that was shipped. It may be fixed in
the interum .int betas, but it doesn't work in the one I have. Maybe they
fixed this in the versions they sent you?
I loaded an object I created with Imagine. I selected the object, and then
selected Pick Points. I then selected hide points. I drag the box around
the points, and it doesn't hide the points.
know I'm doing the right thing. I just wanted to mention this because I
didn't want it to fall through the cracks in case the .int version was the
only thing with this problem and no one reported it yet.
Steve
Hmmm..looks like a line got dusted…..that last paragraph should say:
I've tried this on an .fp version at a local store so I know I'm doing the
right thing. I just wanted to mention this because I didn't want it to
fall throught the cracks in case the .int version was the only thing with
this problem and no one reported it yet.

We got a call today about a problem going from Imagine to Sculpt, using our
InterChange and the Turbo Silver module. The guy said he converted an
object, and loaded it into Sculpt, but the object wouldn't render at all in
Sculpt. The F10 statistics display in Sculpt said it had about 3000
faces… Have you tried this?
No, but I'll try it and get back to you about it.
