I would like to know if someone has the lucas board and france to now if
they could use 32bits kikstart with it ??
Yes, it comes with a utility to put Kickstart into Frances' 32 bit ram. If
you don't have one, I have a Lucas/Frances system for sale because it is
not compatible with my hard drive. It is fully assembled and tested,
includes all parts (including one meg of 32 bit ram). The board works on
my Amiga, but not with my hard drive. I'm asking $450, the parts, circuit
boards, and chips cost $550-600. You can Email or call me if you're

Thank you for the board but I have all the parts and the 68'S for good
price I knew there was a way for regular kickstart but how about the
version 2 software ? What is your controler that does not work with lucas .
It's a Xetec fastTrak. Supposedly the designer Brad Gibbs is working on
software to allow tyhe use of the version 2 Kickstart in ram. Now word on
when it might be available. er, "no word"

interesting problem with the Xetec, guys. I've had no problems using a
TrumpCard and now upgraded to a TrumpCardPro (both are really the TC500 box
turned around backward and plugged into the A1000 86-pin bus. Have a
40-meg quantum and 335 meg Priam both running on a long cable from the
TCPro500 down to an external drive/power box and drives. Works like a
champ with Lucas/Frances on my original 1985 A1000. Need drives? Cheap?

marcel, I've been running Lucas/Frances and using the AFM program supplied
by Brad Fowles with the system to activate the 4Megs on Frances and load
kickstart into it according to the docs for AFM No problem running
Kickstart in 32-bit Frances RAM and it does speed things up a bit.
