I couldn't see a hardware section, so I'm entering this here in the hope
that someone will be able to deal with it. I want to hook the old C=
genlock (A1300) to my A500. A straight-through cable doesn't do it (that
is, RGB to RGB) since, I guess, the pinouts are different. Specifically, I
suspect that the power lines aren't the same, since when I hook it up the
500 won't come up at all (like, +5 being grounded?).
If anyone knows the pinouts for the A1300 RGB connector, or better still,
could quickly tell me which pins need to be rerouted, I'd be grateful. I
don't have the information myself.

I believe the video connectors are the same on 500, 1000, and 2000
models. The reason your 500 doesn't come up may be that the 1300 is telling
the machine to use its clock, and then not supplying it. Did this 1300 work
on a 1000 previously, that is, do you know it's good?
