The Video Toaster will be in the Goodyear Blimp tommorrow night during the
Monday Night Football. If the video is clean ABC will be showing the live
shots from the BLimp via the Toaster, and (4) Toasters & 2500's will be
purchased for thother Goodyear Blimps.

Yes, LightWave is wonderful – BUT, it would be 500% more wonderful (dare I
use improper grammar) if NewTek made a version of LightWave for a stock
Amiga system! (Or an 030/882 version). Now, that I would be interested in.
Joe, Guess time will tell. I have experimented with converted Lightwave
files to ham and then animating them. May take a look at DCTV or HAME as
another way to anims without tape. NEWTEK has its hands full getting what
its got out the door. Perhaps in time they will make a HAM lightwave
available. There are lots of accessories for the toaster that I am sure are
working on also. There is currently an 030/882 version of LW for the
toaster. ds
HAM-E renders from lightwave look really good – except (unfortunately) the
silly people at NewTek actually render the 244 bit stuff to the Toaster's
internal (NTSC) buffers, and the actual rendered data has NTSC artifacts
"Built-in" to them. Yech. But it still looks good, and you can do a lot
better painting in our paint software then that sorry "ToasterPaint", where
you can't even really see what you're doing. One of our customers here in
Montana, uses the HAM-E exclusively to edit his toaster images, for
whatever that's worth.

Wonderful news — I'm not a football fan, but I'll definitely be watching

NewTek must really be getting those Toasters out. That's the fourth
Toaster I've heard about in this area.
