We have players for DMCS music IF it was saved in SMUS format, but not in its native format. There have been hundreds of requests for a player, but since the format has never been made public, no one has written a player for it. Betty

Betty, I hope I was not misunderstood about this. It's not a player I am looking for, but a program you run from CLI inputing the DMCS score and it tells you what instuments you need to play it. I guess if the format was never mad public tho, it might be hard to read the file!!! Thanx, David McCabe – via WHAP!

David, there was a program like that around here a while back. I think it was called "LISN" or some such.. Jim

Regarding a program which looks at instruments used in a particular DMCS score, I've been using a program called "LISTINT" since 1986. Works well. Not sure where you can find it, not even sure what the original file name and extension was way back then. It should be around though. – Lorenz K. Sievers –

Thanks, Lorenz. I think I found it: Library 7, AmigaArts: LSIN.ARC 7 8K 03-11-87 DMCS: Lists instruments required by song. I don't think I'd have found it had you not prodded my memory a bit, though. Betty
