#WB2MenuFnt Size is Huge!

I'm hoping that someone else who is using ProPage2.1 can solve my latest
problem. Tonight I installed WB2.04 and now when I load ProPage the menu
font size is now huge! I can't seem to change it back. The drop menus are
larger too, to accommodate the larger size font. I'm not too familiar with
WB 2.04 yet, but is there something in the prefs that needs changing?
Any help is most appreciated, especially since I'm about too yank the 2.0
ROM and go back to my trusty WB1.3. This is why I believe C= should have
included the kickstart image file on disk. So people like myself who depend
on their machine for a living can make sure things will work before
committing to the ROM change! I'm sure once I get up to speed with 2.0 I'll
not want to change back, but for now its still an experiment for me and I
don't relish pulling the power supply and ROM each time I want to switch.

have you tried the Font program in the Prefs drawer on the system
partition?

Yes, I have reset the fonts in it. I'm not sure if that
fixed things or not, but I feel like a babe in the woods with WB2.04! After
six years of using the CLI almost exclusively, I'm now relearning a lot of
the WB. I only wish I had the opportunity many of the other forum members
had by getting to use 2.xx over a year ago. Well, I learn quick, so it
won't be too long before I catch up.

I too managed to scare up a 2.04 upgrade and LOVE it! The problem
you are experiencing can be fixed thusly:
Go into the "Fonts" program in the Prefs drawer. Look to see which
font is being used as "Screen Text" and change it. I use the following
combinations which seem to work well: "Screen Text" is Helvetica 12,
"Workbench Icon Text" is Palatino 12 and "System Default Text" is trusty
new Topaz 8 (which is really quite good).
Sounds like you are opening ProPage on the Workbench screen, and
that could be causing the problem. Opening on a custom screen will not use
any other font except Topaz, should the program use it. Also, watch the new
outline fonts: I tried Triumvirate 15 as my "Screen Text" font and found
the font to display improperly in some requesters.

I'll give that a try, I also think I may have put one of the
monitor icons in a drawer and need to move it out. I thought it was for
NTSB but now I think it was for NTSC. I'll have to check the PPage manual
on opening PPage in a custom screen and see which way I'm opening it. TOO
many options now! Its very easy to get things muddied up!
