Are there expansion cards available that allow the use of 4 MB SIMMs? What
is the maximum amount of memory an Amiga can address?

I believe the GVP cards may accept 4 meg SIMMS. You need an
accelerator card with the 68020/030 processor, however, to address memory
above the 8 megs you can expand the 2000s. With the accelerator cards and
the higher processor you can address more memory. GVP's new cards in their
Impact series can address up to 32 megs all of which can be 32 bit RAM if
it's all on the GVP card. Most of the other accelerators should permit
addressing memory above the 8 meg limit of the 68000.
I have talked to GVP about the upper limit of memory with the 68030 boards
and they said that besides the memory on their cards (13 meg limit with 22
Mhz, 16 meg limit with 33Mhz and 32 meg limit with 50Mhz) you also have the
memory that is on the 16 bit bus. So with the 50Mhz card you have 32Meg
32bit, 9Meg 16bit = 41Meg of memory possible.

Yes, that's correct. Now if I could only find a source for those
nibble-mode SIMMs they use on the older 3001. I don't know if they still
use the nibble-mode SIMMs on the new cards. I can't seem to find a source
and GVP's prices (or at least the prices through dealers) is awfully steep.
