Thomas, File names on CIS are presently limited to 6 characters for the name and 3 for the extension, so your file will be called CETUSD.GIF. I'll delete the original CETUS.JPG.

Tom, You probably won't have to worry about it either. CIS is working on a new version of the library software that will (among other things) support 8 and 3 as opposed to the present 6 and 3. But I'm not supposed to tell you that yet………guess I'm gonna hafta' shoot you now…….<grin>.

Joe, I hope it's not bad luck to be asking this under this subject ("trash"), but I want to upload a large image and was wondering if there are any special instructions for a first-timer. thanks Scott

Heeheeheehee… Let's hope not Scott. I do have some advice for your initial large image upload………..that's wait. We're on the raqggedy edge of library space in the forum, and have started a new one to take the sample and display images. The new forum will be called the Autodesk ShowCase forum, and it should be opening shortly. Bob Henderson is putting the finishing touches on it as we speak…………….I hope.

Joe, Oops, I already went ahead and tried an image last night, before your reply. I hope that there's room for it. While I was uploading it said that charges were suspended during uploads. Is this true? because if it is then I'd like to try a larger flic.

Yeah, it's true they suspend charges for uploads. But remember – all the guys out there still pay for downloads, so if your file is too big, there's probably no one who's willing to download it. Keep on running Michael

YEP!!! It's true Scott. CIS don't bill you for the upload time, but it starts again as soon as you've approved the upload and index file entry.
