#SYSINFO crash 040

I just tried the new SYSINFO on my 040 machine and the program crashed as
soon as it started the speed test.

Read the doc file and contact the author. The program does work on
other Amiga's…so my only guess is that there's a bug that makes it
incompatible with an '040 equipped Amiga.

On my A3000 with PP&S 040, All Sysinfos from 2.22 on break. Only 1.98
works 100%, and only if fastsys is not run (VBR must be 0 – known bug
in that version). Two other persons who have identical setups to mine
have different results. One works all the time, the other peson has
sysinfo crash 50% of the itme. The best I can think is that each of
our memory areas are probably used differently as we customise our
user-startups and wbstartups.
Greg, All versions of Sysinfo before the current version worked on my PP&S
040 machine. I have an Amiga 2000 though so maybe that is part of the
difference. I have a feeling that the author made direct floating point
calls to the hardware and the 040's math chip is not the same as the
881/882. norm
I was aware that the A2000 version ran sysinfo, but wanted to point out
instability in the A3000 with most new versions. BTW, I just uploaded
040ROM.lzh to Amigatech/system utilities library. It contains Fastrom040,
MMU, and ROMSPLIT1 (including source)

Thank you for the info and new 040 programs. I will give the Fastrom
programs a try to see how much of a speed difference there is.
